Sam Designs Software is a one-person web design business. I operate out of Oklahoma. This page explains what information I collect, why I collect it, and what I do and don't do with it.
Who I am
Sam Designs Software. I operate out of Oklahoma, United States. You can reach me at samdesignsoftware@gmail.com with any question about this policy or about information you've shared with me.
What I collect
Only what you give me directly. Depending on how you get in touch, that may include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your business name and the town it operates in
- Anything else you choose to tell me about your business or the site you want
If you contact me through a form on Facebook or Instagram (a "lead form"), Meta may pre-fill some of those fields from your profile before you submit them. You can edit or clear any field before sending it. Meta's own handling of that data is covered by Meta's privacy policy, not this one.
What I use it for
To reply to you, to answer questions about a website, to build a demo, and — if you decide to hire me — to do the work and invoice you. That's it.
If you don't reply, I may follow up once or twice. Ask me to stop and I'll stop.
What I don't do
I don't sell your information. I don't rent it, trade it, or hand it to a data broker. I don't add you to a mailing list you didn't ask for. I don't use it for anything other than talking to you about your website.
Who else sees it
I run this business by myself, so nobody else reads your message. A small number of services handle the information in the ordinary course of getting it to me or doing the work:
- Meta — if you submitted a form on Facebook or Instagram, that's where it starts.
- Email providers — Google (Gmail) and Resend, which deliver messages between us.
- Hosting — DigitalOcean, where this site and any site I build for you is hosted.
- Payments — Stripe, if you become a customer. I never see or store your card number.
I may also share information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
If we end up working together, I keep what I need for the project and for my business records. If we don't, I keep your message so I don't contact you twice about the same thing. Ask me to delete it and I will.
Your choices
Email me at samdesignsoftware@gmail.com and I'll do any of the following, at no cost and without asking why:
- Tell you what information of yours I have
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete it
- Stop contacting you
Depending on where you live, you may have these rights by law as well. I'll honor the request either way.
Demo sites
I sometimes build an unrequested sample website for a business to show what one could look like, using information the business has already published publicly — its name, services, phone number, and photos from its own public pages. If a demo site for your business exists and you'd rather it didn't, email me and I'll take it down the same day. No explanation needed.
This website
This site doesn't require an account and doesn't ask you to log in. If analytics or advertising tools are running on it, they may set cookies in your browser; you can block or clear cookies in your browser's settings at any time.
Children
This is a service for businesses. It isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
